The 13th Akwaaba African Travel Market (AfTM) will be hosting the maiden edition of Youth in Tourism Conference 2017.

This Conference seeks to address the challenges Young people in travel business face in promoting Domestic Tourism in Nigeria and also bring the youth in tourism together as it seeks to mainstream them into the organized travel and tourism business.

At the Nigeria Association of Tour Operators NATOP AGM Conference 2017, during the youth in tourism session, challenges of promoting domestic tourism in Nigeria were raised by youths, such as Government policies, Insecurity, Harassments by host communities and poor state of Nigeria tourism destinations. The 13th AKWAABA Youth in Tourism Conference 2017 seek to address these challenges effecting domestic tourism promotion.

The event will hold on the 3rd day of Akwaaba, being September 12th at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos.
