The International Hospitality Institute (IHI), a global advocate, trainer, and standards organization for the hospitality industry through her leadership board on 12th October, 2021 announced a new management team in Nigeria.

The new management is now headed by a young astute Hospitality and Tourism expert, Mr Allen Effeh, the CEO of Footprint Hospitality Limited. Until this new role as the Country Manager, Mr Allen Effeh had been the IHI Country Director for Media and Public Relations in Nigeria.


Emerging Nigeria’s Country Manager for IHI is not a sudden flight for Mr Allen Effeh. Mr Effeh had been grinding his sling in the tourism and hospitality sector for the past 15 years. As the lead consultant of Footprint Hospitality and the CEO of Ibomtourism Nigeria, he is the progenitor of Hospitality Master Class, a yearly training programme for hospitality frontline staff. Mr Effeh is an in-depth tourism development researcher. He has trained and consulted for over 20 hotels in Nigeria. Presently, Mr Effeh is a principal consultant for Teltalk Hospitality School, a soon to be lunched Hospitality Academy in Uyo. Also, he is the Director of Operations for Xcellencio Hospitality Nigeria, a leading hospitality consulting firm in Lagos.


As an endorsed hotel distribution and revenue expert, certified by the Institute of Hospitality in United Kingdom – Nigeria Branch, Mr Effeh doubles as a certified Hospitality Trainer by IHI and a member of the prestigious Institute of Tourism Professionals, Nigeria. He is currently the Vice President of Nigeria Hotels and Tourism Investment Conference. Also, a member of the Association of Tourism and Hospitality Consultants of Nigeria, (ATHCON).

Academically, Allen Effeh Holds a Bachelor of Science and Higher National Diploma in Accounting. He holds a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism from the prestigious Atlantic Florida University

Back to the new portfolio, the Country Chairman and Global Board Member, Dr Eilsha Attai while presenting the letter of appointment commended the new Country Chairman, Mr Effeh for a job well done in his previous role as the Country Director for Media and Public Relations.


The Chairman also used the opportunity to thank the out-gone Country Manager, Mr Brian Efa for his effort while in charge of the institute in Nigeria as the Country Manager. The Institute is set to announce the appointment of other newly appointed Country Directors in the coming days
