AYADE APPROVES COUNTERPART FUNDS FOR YESSO, PAYMENT TO COMMENCE SOON

The Executive Governor of Cross River, State Sen. Prof. Ayade Benedict has approved the last batch of the counterpart funding required to execute the Youth Employment and Social Support Operation, YESSO programme billed to commence payment in full to over 5,000 beneficiaries drawn across board in Cross River State next week.

This was revealed by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Comr. Asu Okang in a meeting with the YESSO department, Ministry of Youth and Sports on Wednesday.

The program which was initiated to provide means of financial support to the vulnerable poor from most rural areas in Cross River State.

The beneficiaries who will be engaged in menial responsibilities are expected to receive a remuneration of seven thousand and five hundred naira (N7,500) monthly.

The programme has two sections, one which is domiciled at the State Ministry of Youth and Sports, coordinated by Hon. Asu Okang and the other at the State Ministry of International Development Cooperation, coordinated by Mr. Balinwo Ofegobi.

That at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has registered over 5,000 and specifically meant for the Youths, while that at the Ministry of International Development Cooperation has registered over 100,000 and specifically meant for the Poor and Vulnerable.
