A co-working space and Technology HUB, LiftHub has been launched in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, with over hundred thousand naira giving to investors who have brilliant business ideas.
Speaking at the venue of the launch, the Cross River State Commissioner of Commerce and Industry reiterated his ministry and the Government’s commitment to support youth led initiative and all other initiative that will improve the social-economic space of the state.
Mr. Egba added that the Government has deliberately excluded low-income earners and petit-businesses from taxation and that most times it is the lack of information that has caused the proliferation of fake tax collectors in the state.
The Commissioner advised youths in the state to take the opportunity the hub offers and be in an environment with like-minded youths with difference making in mind.
On his part, the Centre Manager, Anthony Alaribe, said “The LiftHub which is created by the Investlift LiftAfrica project, provides co-working space for creative and social entrepreneurs in the city of Calabar as well as provide idea incubation and business acceleration to foster endogenous growth.
Alaribe stated that there has been a shortage of space for young entrepreneurs to just walk in plug-in and work from in Calabar and that the space hopes to provide that.
