Calabar ICC – Proud host of the Africa Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum 2015
Come 13-14 August 2015, the Calabar International Convention Centre
[Calabar ICC] will be hosting the inaugural Africa Women Innovation and
Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) 2015.  The event is organized by  ICO
Conferences & Events Limited Nigeria in partnership with Impact
Africa Limited Kenya and set to attract over 500 female delegates from
around Africa to Calabar, Cross River State.

The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) is a
premier, pan-African conference and exhibition event intended to
congregate on a platform, female entrepreneurs, NGOs, CSOs, top
governments officials and the private sector. The major aim of this
meeting is to steer discussions around the role of African women in
shaping the continent’s economic future, the challenges faced by women
and possible solutions that can be offered. AWIEF 2015 targets the
broadest spectrum of participants from across Africa and will create
networking opportunities which could facilitate business partnerships,
knowledge sharing and peer learning.

Irene Ochem, Managing Director, ICO Conferences & Events Ltd
(AWIEF 2015 Event Organizer) said, “The choice of Cross River State as
destination for the inauguration of AWIEF is symbolic because Margaret
Ekpo and Mary Slessor, great women who made historical positive impacts
in the lives of women, both lived in the State”. She also remarked that
the pan-African event will be held in Calabar partly because Calabar ICC
offers an ultra-modern conference facility of world-class and
international standard, the first of its kind in the region.

Linda De Gouveia, Sales Manager , Calabar ICC, commenting on the
announcement of AWIEF 2015 said, ” We are very pleased to be dealing
with an international professional conference organizer for this event
and we anticipate a highly successful AWIEF 2015. As a centre we promise
to offer the  highest level of professional and quality service
standards to the organizers and delegates alike.
