Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Mr Maurice Nkong has sought collaboration with Senior Special Assistant, Youth mobilization, Prince Ndiyo Ndiyo, the National Youth Council of Nigeria CRS chapter, Voluntarily Youth Organization and other critical youth stakeholders to support His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade in the enforcement of his lofty and proactive measure towards curbing the spread of Coronavirus in Cross River State.

Speaking to newsmen in Calabar, Mr. Nkong stressed that young people have a critical role to play in enforcing the prevention measures put in place by the government to ensure the state remains Coronavirus free.


“Now, more than ever, we must collaborate with the government as partners. Young people must be seen as resourceful players, as well as agents of positive change and responsible citizens, in what will need to be a collective response to this pandemic.

We are leaders of today, we must stand together in these uncertain times and lend our voices. Regardless of what lies in store as we battle the coronavirus, we remain certain that it includes a bright post corona future,” Nkong said.

He further assured that with the help of critical stakeholders and youth-based organizations, young people will be mobilized across the 3 senatorial districts to ensure strict compliance of the state border closure and no mask no movement directives.
