Three top government functionaries in the Governor Ben Ayade’s administration are among the top 50 young persons listed in the biographical compendium, “Future Leaders: Young People to Watch”.
They are the Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong Jr, the Director General of Primary Healthcare Agency, Dr. Betta Edu, and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Beatrice Akpala
In a release by the CEO of the publishing company, Profiles & Biographies, Mr. Kammonke Abam, the two leaders were selected from a large pool of nominations to join 47 other young leaders listed in the compendium following their good performance and a strong potential for leadership.
“Future Leaders: Young People to Watch” is a biographical compendium of young men and women not more than 35 years who are excelling in their careers and have strong potential to form the crux of future leaders in the state.
The 50 young leaders were selected from hundreds of nominees in a rigorous exercise through wide consultation with critical stakeholders that work with young segment of the population, like the CBN EDC project, professional associations and churches.
The compendium would be made public May 25, 2017 as part of the grand finale of the celebrations of Cross River at 50 at the Transcorp Hotel by 11am.
The event which will attract the creme la de creme of society will also feature the Legacy Awards to deserving individuals and corporate organizations who have bequeathed legacies.
