The Dominion City Church will be commencing a free distribution of food items to students of tertiary institutions in Calabar.
The gesture according to the church is geared towards ameliorating the sufferings of students who can hardly afford descent meals during the course of their studies.
“We felt led to invade the tertiary institutions in Cross River State with the loving kindness of Jesus. This is to cushion the effect of studying for exams with an empty stomach.” a source from the the church was quoted as saying.
The event which is scheduled for Tuesday 1st of February, 2022 by 3pm; will take place at the Abraham Odia Stadium, University of Calabar.
The distribution of the food items will begin with the University of Calabar, to other institutions, where 3000 students will be given free foodstuffs and other staple foods.
