The activities for this year’s Leboku International Festival started since July, 4th 2018.
The festival which spans two weeks will climax with a grand finale at the Ugep township stadium in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The entire ceremony is expected to witness the gathering of friends, visitors, government and the media to the rich cultural heritage.

Wednesday, 4th July – Sat, 28th July, 2018: ETIKEKOMI (Visitation to farm roads to accept palm wine and sundry gifts).
Friday, 3rd August – FINAL ETIKEKOMI/LEBOKU KEPILE (Opening of festival activities).
(a)Female wrestling to select prize winners
(b)Male wrestling to select Prize winners
(c) Football competition.
Wednesday, 15th August – Environmental Sanitation.
Sunday, 19th August – IKORBASE LEBOKA : Thanksgiving church service to usher in peaceful festival celebration.
Monday, 20th August: KIPOLI (Ugep Urban General Assembly, Lekpedungho.
(a) MBLEMI: Farmers return with New Yam/Exhibition of New Yams at the town square to select Prize Winners/Best Harvester
(b) Exchange of visits and gifts between loved ones and well wishers.
(c)OKONDEL: Breaking of firewood by Obol Lopon and midnight light/fire.
Tuesday, 21st August: JANENBOKU/KEKPAN (Female Day)
(a) Exchange of gifts and visits
(b) Drying of Ekoi talking drums.
(c) Visitation of Tourist sites.
(d) Traditional dancing troupes and displays etc.
(e) Mr. and Miss Leboku Contest At Ubi Ujong Inah Conference Hall, Yakurr LG Guest House, Ugep.
Red Carpet: 6pm, Main Event: 7pm.
Wednesday, 22 August – LEDEMBOKU (EKOI): Male Day At The Umor Otutu Palace, Ugep.
(a) Etangala Carnival.
(b) Beating of Ekoi drums.
(c) Canon/Fire Works Display.
(d) Ekoi Dance.
(e) Parade of Maidens and winners of Mr. & Miss Leboku.
Thursday, 23rd August – Ugep Urban International Day/LEKURR BOKU (Yakurr Day):
(a) The Grand finale at the Peace stadium Ugep.
(b) Traditional Wrestling Finals, Maidens Parade, Variety of Entertainment and Presentation of Gifts.
(c) Art/Cultural Exhibition.
Monday, 27 August – YEKPI/KEBONGHA: Uprooting of trees by young lads and parade of Mr & Miss Leboku 2018.
Sunday, 2nd September – LIBINI/YEPON FAWA (Final appeasement).
