Entries have opened for the second edition of the 2016 Young Business Icons Summit and Awards in Calabar CrossRiverWatch authoritatively reports.
This was contained in a statement signed by Emmanuel Etim, the Cross River State Chairman of the Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce who alongside CrossRiverWatch Resources organize the event.
“(The) 2016 Young Business Icons Summit and Awards seeks to reward hard work, excellence and creativity among young people doing businesses in the Cross River State and inspire others who are working hard to grow their businesses, create jobs and contribute to the development of the state economy.
“2016 Young Business Icons Summit and Awards is a space created to tackle the challenge of unemployment among youth in Cross River State, to provide the necessary resources to unveil and liberate the burning potential lying inside young people and to help them contribute meaningfully to the development of the state” the statement obtained by CrossRiverWatch read.
It further read: “If you believe you are deserving of the 2016 Young Business Icons Award then send us your story in not more than five pages telling us how your journey began, the opportunities and challenges you have met along the way, the lessons that are worth learning, the keys to your success so far and your vision of the future.”
For submission of entries, the statement advised that you send your story to email@example.com on or before 30th of October, 2016.”
The statement further disclosed that entries will be published on www.crossriverwatch.com where readers will vote for the most inspiring stories with the winners been determined through “A combination of public opinion and scores from our team of judges. Winners will be given awards and exciting prizes.”
The awards which began last year aims to support and recognize entrepreneurs who braved challenges and weather the storm faced by private enterprises and is open to youths doing business in the state between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
