In a deliberate concept to mop up farm products across the State and reduce post-harvest losses in rural areas and make food available at an affordable price The Women Support for Success, Achievement and Growth Initiative (WOSSAGI) is collaborating with the Cross River Agricultural Development Programme / FADAMA III to host the first Farmers Market for Rural Women (FMRW) in Calabar this November.
This project is targeted at farmers –especially women in rural areas in Cross River State for the sole purpose of linking them to urban markets with already established customer base. The FMRW Programme is designed to answer the key questions that plague many rural women farmers which are access to urban markets and increase in income.
This public open event intends to encourage women farmers to continue farming and simultaneously offer a platform for consumers to meet the women who grow their food.
Do join the Calabar Blog team and other fresh farm food lovers as we go in search for fresh and affordable food products at the;
