The former Special Adviser, Governor’s office and events management in the immediate past administration in Cross River State, Mr. Nzan Ogbe has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
According to his updated LinkedIn profile, the appointment took effect from August 31st, 2015 barely two months after leaving office.
Nzan who will be described as the engine room in Governor Imoke’s administration was key in the development of strategic plans and policies for the Governor, As Special Adviser, Nzan played a major role in maintaining desired Government corporate image, Identified and developed new Projects, Programs and Initiatives for the State Government including the 250 million dollars Theme Park Project, 75 million dollars Calabar International Convention Center Project and the 35 million dollars Riviera Club Project.
As Principal Secretary to the NNPC boss, Nzan’s key duties will include but not limited to; Leading the GMD’s Private Office in line with the GMD’s priorities, Effectively coordinating and prioritizing the work of the GMD, including management of resources and staff as required; Representing the views of the GMD to a wide range of people in the NNPC including Functional Bodies and other stakeholders.
Information from our source reports that Mr. Nzan had previously rejected an offer to serve in Governor Ben Ayade’s cabinet.
