Governor Ayade Host World Tourism Day with Unveiling of Carnival Calabar Theme 2022

As part of activities to mark this year’s celebration of World Tourism Day with the theme ‘Rethinking Tourism’, Governor Ben Ayade has unveiled the theme for Carnival Calabar 2022.
Activities which kicked off on the 25th of September and climaxed on the 28th at Transcorp Hotels, Calabar with the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in attendance.
The Governor of Cross River State, Sir Ben Ayade seized the opportunity to unveil the 2022 Carnival Calabar with the theme: “2022 Agro-Industrialization” at a ceremony held at the Conference Hall of Governor’s Office Calabar and the Glass House of the Governor’s Office, Calabar.
Amongst those who graced the unveiling include Deputy Governor Prof. Ivara Esu, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Development Eric Anderson, Director-General, Nigerian Tourism Development Commission – Folorunsho Coker; Former Minister for Culture, Tourism and National Orientation- Chief Edem Duke, senior appointees, carnival band leaders, among others.
