On 6th of April 2022, a bus belonging to guests staying on the Ranch experienced a brake failure and crashed into the mountain.
Unfortunately, a motorcycle rider, who was also a staff of the Ranch, was hit. Upon hearing about the accident, other members of the group rushed back to the scene but the victims, including Mr. Louis Odene the Resort staff, had already been evacuated with a second vehicle to the hospital. While in the operating theatre at the General Hospital, Mr. Louis Odene passed on.
The group and I had paid a condolence visit to the wife and family of the deceased yesterday. The guest and I further paid a condolence visit this morning to the Clan head and leader of the community, HRH Onom 1 of Becheve, Sunday Ichile.
This accident is deeply regrettable and we absk for prayers for the family at this trying time.
