Calabar, Nigeria – iKapture Centre for Development invites professional men and women, students, parents, teachers and tech enthusiasts to attend the Technovation Girls South-South Regional Pitch Event 2023The event welcomes up to 300 guests including registered teams from Cross River and Akwa-Ibom states.

Technovation Girls is a global competition that challenges girls (8 to18 years) to become problem-solvers through the development of mobile applications that tackle problems in their communities. Since inception, over 10,000 girls from 78 countries have participated in the program. Each season usually concludes with a World Pitch in the United States, where top teams compete for the grand prize. Participants have the opportunity to network with leaders in the tech industry. In 2015, Calabar team led by our Founder emerged as Global Winners and in 2021, another team made it to the Regional Finals. The girls received support and global recognition for their ideas.

This year, we look forward to a successful season with teams from Calabar and Uyo competing to represent Nigeria at the finals. Thus, your presence during the event will be a morale booster to the girls (including special students) who are determined to make it to the end of this challenge.
