World Mental Health Day: Safe Space Centre To Hold Mental Health Awareness Campaign In Calabar

In commemoration of this year’s World Mental Health Day, the Safe Space Couselling Centre will hold a two day mental health awareness campaign in Calabar, Cross River State.

The exercise tagged WARMTH is in commemoration of this year’s World Mental Health Day.

Part of the activities outlined for this year’s event include: mental health walk, word therapy, free counseling sessions, raffle draw, spoken word, music, dance and drama.

According to the organizers: “Giving you self-awareness and knowledge about your mental health is an integral part of a healthy life. Using music, spoken words, dance, drama, word therapy, free counselling sessions and an opportunity to win items like phones, shoes, bags, food items, and all-expense-paid dinner for two is a great deal for us.

The two day event is scheduled to hold on the 9th  and 10th October, 2021; with the mental health walk billed to takeoff at the Mary Slessor Roundabout at 7am; the grand finale is slated for 2pm of Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the Marina Resort.

The World Mental Health Day, is an international day set aside for global mental health education, awareness and policy advocacy. This year’s theme as announced by the World Federation for Mental Health is “Mental Health In An Unequal World.”
